A Cabinet Decision lands, a guide is reissued with a new date, a regulator amends its rules — and most companies hear about it from a penalty notice.

We monitor the Federal Tax Authority, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank and the free-zone regulators every six hours, and publish what changed in the authority's own words, linked to the original.

  1. Penalties Exiloz note

Late payment penalty is now 14% a year, not the old 2% + 4% monthly stack#

“Cabinet Decision 129 of 2025 replaced the old escalating penalty and the 300% cap with flat annual interest from 14 April 2026. Older balances still carry whatever accrued before that date, so check which regime your figure was calculated under.”
